Our Vision
Our vision is of communities actively shaping a low-carbon society that values wellbeing for all.
Our Mission
We work with communities and our partners to support, promote and represent the community energy sector. We do this by providing technical assistance, knowledge sharing & championing the role of community-led action in the transition to a low-carbon future.
Who we are
Community Energy Scotland is an independent Scottish ‘more-than-profit’ charity (2007) that evolved from the success of the Highlands and Islands Community Energy Company (2004) in response to a growing sustainable development agenda in Scotland.
We are a team of engineers and specialists who are available for large and small projects throughout the country.
We regularly collaborate with partner organisations from the community support sector as well as with other experts in energy and additional professional fields.
