Project Support
The support we offer ranges from focused community engagement and technical input at key stages to full start to finish development and management of projects. We can also partner with you on funding applications that cover our costs or work on specific pieces of consultancy. Our members receive discounted rates. Get in touch to discuss how we might be able to support you.
Project Development & Funding
Whether your ambitions are around transport, storage, renewable heat or power assets, we work with you to develop projects at any stage. It all starts with an exploratory discussion with the team to look at your aspirations and appetite for innovation and risk. We can develop a project scope and cost estimate for our community members to independently apply for funding. If you want our support longer term, we can build our costs into a proposal and partner with you to seek funding together.
Community Engagement
Community ownership and agency over any project is essential for successful community development and resilience. We can provide tried and tested methods and tools that you can use to plan events and interactive engagement and create accessible surveys. We can also support you with transparent processes, procedures, governance, and analysis of quantitative and qualitative feedback. All of which will help you build consensus within your community. With two decades of community engagement experience, CES can work alongside your team as you develop an effective, inclusive, and appropriate methodology for reaching out to, discussing with, and involving the people in your community.
Large Scale Collaborative & Consortia Projects
We’ve been involved in many large-scale collaborative projects with partners from across Scotland, UK, and internationally such as Island Centre for Net Zero, North Atlantic Hydrogen Learning Network, ScotCLUE, SMILE and RIPEET. We enable and de-risk participation for our community members while maximising their influence and learning opportunities.
Contact us if you are a community member with wider aspirations or face a challenge which could be addressed through collaboration, or if you are a research or innovation organisation, have identified a funding opportunity and would like to build a consortium with us or our community members.
Technical Support & Feasibility Studies
Our very experienced technical team includes engineers, experts in renewables, experienced researchers, and data & digital technology professionals. We bring with us a wealth of knowledge and experience from developing and delivering replicable innovative projects all over Scotland. We can advise on energy, planning, operational, and environmental considerations. Whether you need help with feasibility studies, project costing and financial planning, selection and procurement of equipment and installers, risk assessments or contract negotiation, we can support you to achieve your low carbon aims.
