Anna Philbrick
Project Manager
Anna leads Community Energy Launchpad team at Community Energy Scotland, which supports community organisations at the start of their community energy journey.
Previous projects Anna has worked on at Community Energy Scotland include the Carbon Neutral Islands project, supporting Cowal Community Energy, the Fast Followers initiative exploring local energy supply in the Western Isles, and supporting community organisations in West Dunbartonshire.
With a background in community development and environmental engagement, Anna has led a variety of projects connecting people with nature, sustainability, and local action — from running a canal boat for community groups in Edinburgh to creating inclusive opportunities with the RSPB in the Cairngorms and at Gorgie City Farm.
Anna is passionate about empowering communities to develop their own energy initiatives, strengthen local resilience, and contribute to a just transition to net zero. Based in Glasgow, she enjoys escaping to the hills in her spare time — walking, camping, and the occasional swim!
