As a Community Energy Officer in the Community Energy Launchpad team, Juliet supports community organisations in Edinburgh, Fife, and the Scottish Borders to set out on their community energy journey.

Before moving to Community Energy Scotland Juliet worked in research, policy, and community climate activism. She has a PhD in psychology and cultural evolution, and worked in academia for several years, moving into applied research in order to follow her passion of making the world a better place. She has conducted research in Climate Anxiety, Science Communication, and Gender equality.

Juliet is also an active campaigner and spokesperson with the Stop Rosebank campaign, and a voluntary news and feature writer for climate website Curious Earth. She believes strongly in the power of community to tie together personal and political actions to fight climate injustice.

Outside of work Juliet can be found up a hill with her very fluffy rescue dog, dunking in the sea after a wild sauna, or at a protest in support of climate action, a free Palestine or trans rights.
