I joined Community Energy Scotland in early 2026 as a Senior Technical Officer as part of the Technical Team. My role is to provide technical support and advice to a variety of community renewable energy projects to aid in their development. 

Prior to joining Community Energy Scotland I worked for a renewable energy consultancy with a focus on wind, solar, and hydro projects. I was involved in many aspects of renewable energy project development from feasibility studies and due diligence reviews, through to construction supervision and the monitoring of operational projects. Using my experience in the commercial sector, I wish to enable the development of community renewables.  

Before working in the renewables sector, I was involved in the construction of ponds, wetlands, boardwalks, and various other landscaping works. I enjoyed this for the practical challenge, for creating spaces for the public to enjoy, and the enhancement of biodiversity. 

I have a MSc in ‘Sustainability in Energy Provision and Demand Management’  from The Centre for Alternative Technology / University of East London and a BSc in ‘Renewable Energy Systems’ from Abertay University.
